Rolling admission application question
« on: May 07, 2013, 12:48:37 PM »
If the schools with rolling admissions are accepting students as the applications are received (early), do those schools ever fill up before the application deadline date?

In theory, they could fill up. But, if you apply on the very last day with a 180, 4.0 GPA, two Olympic medals, and killer recs/PS, then you are still getting in. The point being that they will always make room for stellar candidates. But those people were getting in anyway. The ones hurt most by late applications are usually the ones who can afford it least: the borderline candidates.

Thanks Ashley, that makes sense.

Unfortunately, I'd guess that most applications end up in that "borderline" category.
