Emmy - did you go through all of the online stuff before the class?

Hi Jake,

Yea, I read through all the pre-course info. I'm going through the post-course info now. I think you can still access that part even before the class. It's pretty substantial. The "virtual mods" (or whatever they're called) are great...it's like more time with the teacher.

Only a few more weeks to go! Good luck! Smiley

I did the class this past weekend. It was intense, but worth it. I feel a little better now. My plan is to bust azz this week reviewing and not
think about the possibility of taking the LSAT again in Oct.

This is good info. I've gone through all 3 PowerScore Bibles, but I'm thinking about doing the Weekend Class for a nice "end-cap". Sounds like the it's probably worth it---any other thoughts?

My only worry would be that all the stuff you already know would just sound like repetition, but I guess that when it comes to the LSAT, the more repetition the better. And you would also have an instructor there to ask questions of, so that would be a huge plus, too.

I recently started researching companies and classes for my LSAT prep. Personally, I'm leaning towards taking an online course due to my schedule. Would it be worth my time to take a weekend course first in order to get my feet wet? I guess that I'm just looking for a good starting point. Thanks in advance!

From my experience, and that of my students, starting off with a weekend course is most useful if you plan to study on your own. Granted, taking a weekend course, and then taking an online course from the same company definitely wouldn't do you harm, but you would probably have a lot of déjà vu during the first few sessions of your longer course, since you will likely have covered most of the material during your weekend course. If you don't mind the repetitive reinforcement though (and it might even do you good!), then go for it. An online course should be more comprehensive and cover the same points that a weekend course would so it might render the weekend course useless, though, particularly if the online course lets you go back and view previous sessions over and over.

If you're going to take a full length online course I don't see the point in taking a weekend course first.  It would just be redundant since a good full length course will go over everything a weekend course does plus a lot more and in more depth because there is more class time to cover things thoroughly.

I pulled the trigger on doing one of these Weekend Classes. It's only $450, so if I can squeeze a few more points out of it, then it'll be totally worth it.

Thanks for the feedback.

I Agree

I'm pleasantly surprised by the amount of info online. I haven't even had my class yet (it's this weekend), and I'm already getting a decent of amount of benefit.

What kind of online info are you guys getting? I thought I would be ready for the October test, but now I'm thinking about just postponing it until December and taking a course. I'd be interested in seeing what you guys are getting...do you feel like its comprehensive and really helping you out?

Hey Steely - there is all sorts on additional info online....practice tests, chapters from the bibles, and some online lectures too. I haven't gone through all of it yet, but it looks like there is quite a bit of stuff there.

If you're still thinking about taking the LSAT in October, this seems like a pretty good last minute help.

I think I might do this class this weekend too. I noticed they have a free weekend repeat, so that's pretty good in case I have to go for the December LSAT too.

BUMP

I found one of these weekend courses nearby for this coming weekend. I'm thinking about doing it, but I won't have time to do the online pre-course work they mention. However, I have been studying on my own for a while. I'm wondering if it's still might be worth it. Even if I boost my score only a few points, then it's well worth the cost.

Does anyone know what kind of score increase I can realistically expect from this?
