Hello~

My test center was closed because of snow. Since I haven't heard anything from LSAC, I called them this morning and their office was closed because of snow.
I dont know whether the test is going to be held this Saturday. Do you guys have any idea? Are they supposed to email me regarding make up test? Or I just walk in and take the test?? Is there anyone who is in the same boat as me?

I'm totally in the same boat. I really don't know what is happening right now, and they are shut down. I'm just going to trust that they will communicate with me in time. It's their responsibility to do that.

Sucks that this happened, and I'm worried about how this will affect my apps.

Yea same here..Because I am saving the latest test for the day before the test. So if the test is not going to be held this Saturday, I want to do it next Friday. My body aches from shoveling and my mind is so stressed out because of uncertain make-up schedule. Cheesy

If I may offer some advice, take that last LSAT on Thursday if you are taking the test on Saturday. That gives you a day to review it, and then on Friday you can relax and free your mind from worrying about the LSAT. Most LSAT prep companies I've seen say that studying on Friday is actually counterproductive because you can't learn anything on that last day and it adds to the stress.

Just a thought!

Btw, I called LSAC to see if they had any comment...unfortunately, they are still closed because of weather as noted by lifeisbeautiful.

I'll try again tomorrow and post any info I can squeeze out of them.

From what I've heard when a test center is canceled cuz of weather it takes time for them to get test centers booked again and they notify you by email of the rescheduled test date and place.  Since their office is closed cuz they are snowed in and employees can't get there to do their jobs, it may take more time to get the new test centers and get the tests to them.  As long as you used a valid email addr when you registered they will email you about the new date and place and probably post the info on their site www.lsac.org

"Please continue to check this website alert for any additional test center closings due to inclement weather. LSAC will contact you via email as soon as possible (most likely the week after the test date) regarding other options, including a make-up test."

Just wanted to add something to this thread that I found a bit surprising: I know of at least three people that had to wait an extra TWO WEEKS before they were able to take the test! They took it last Saturday and are now all freaking out about when they will get their scores back since many deadlines are fast approaching.

As much as an extra few weeks of studying might seem great, I feel bad for them and hope they get their scores sooner than expected....

I've spoken to a bunch of Admissions Deans about this; all of them have said they will make deadline exceptions for cancelled students. One of them also said that LSAC had advised they are going to try to expedite the results of the cancelled February LSAT takers.

The time a few years ago when a bunch of east coast test centers were snowed out for a December administration and the test date was rescheduled LSAC scored the tests and got the results out in record time.

Even though people like to think that LSAC is an evil  Devil empire Light Saber , they really are not and actually bust their arses to do their best with everything for test takers, especially in unusual circumstances.

My heart goes out to everyone on the east coast in the regions that are still getting buried with snow.

Should we call Al Gore and ask him about that global warming thing?
