I took the LSAT in Feb., but I'm not planning to start law school until 2012. From what I've read, a lot of people that also took it in Feb. are hoping to start law school this year. Isn't that pretty late??? Or am I really early??? My plan was to take it once and see how I did first, and then re-take it later, if needed.

What's the scoop???  Huh?

Many schools still accept the February LSAT (you can check out a list of the school that do here: http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/which-law-schools-accept-february-lsat-scores/), so students planning on applying with their February 2011 LSAT score right now and starting law school this fall can still do that. However, to answer your question, yes, they are pretty late in getting to the party. Ideally, you want to submit your applications as early in the application cycle as possible (read: October/November). Sending in an app right now for admission this fall is definitely not the most ideal situation.

What you're doing is actually the best thing: Taking the LSAT early, seeing if you need to retake (and then retaking it in June), and then submitting your applications in October or November of this year for admission in the fall of 2012. You're on track, no worries! Smiley

As a side note, did you study for this LSAT, or did you just take it cold?

Thanks for the reassurance, Anne!  Grin

I didn't study enough for this one; just took a few practice tests. I plan to try again in June or October, and study more in the meantime.

No problem!

Are you using anything other than practice tests to study? Let me know if you need me to point you in the direction of some threads on here that talk about different prep options. Smiley

This time I will do more than just practice tests...I'm just not yet sure what. That would be great if you can provide some direction. Thanks Anne!  Worthy

I just required some information and was searching on Google for it. I visited each page that came on first page and didn’t got any relevant result then I thought to check out the second one and got your blog. This is what I wanted!
