Quick question: the school I am thinking of going to has a seat deposit deadline of April 15. However, some of my other schools of interest may not get back to me until the end of April. Is it possible to send a seat deposit in but not attend the school (if I got offers somewhere else) ? Or does it just depend on the specific school?

Thanks

Some schools view your deposit as a promise that you will attend.  Of course, they don't have much recourse should you choose to go elsewhere.  Other schools just want assurance that you're serious enough to blow $500 or whatever saving yourself a seat.  Give them a call and see what their policy is.

On that same note, if a school is nice enough to accept me and I need to know if I can get GradPlus without a cosigner before I send in a deposit to one of them, is that possible since they have that government direct loan program now? Thanks for any info

It typically depends on the school; I would do with Earl says, and give them a call. Explain the situation; they may be nice and extend the deposit deadline to the end of April for you.

I'm not sure I get what you're asking. Are you wondering if you would be able to get a specific type of loan before you commit to them? If that's the case, my suggestion would be the same as the above: Contact the school's financial aid office and ask. Most schools should have sent you a financial aid offer along with your acceptance letter; if not, definitely call and explain your situation, and they should be able to answer your questions.
