I mean, Im not planning on it, but what happens? Obvs they take your test away if your caught, but what else happens? Can you be sued or something?
If you get caught a proctor writes up a misconduct report and then LSAC investigates before deciding what formal action to take.
If you get caught red handed doing something that constitutes academic dishonesty (meaning you were really up to no good and engaging in intentional cheating behavior) rather than it being a proctor misunderstanding like an overzealous proctor seeing you fill in a last bubble or two during the same seconds when they call time and writing you up for it, you can kiss your chances of law school and a career as a lawyer bye bye.
Misconduct reports, investigations and resulting actions LSAC takes about them are documented in your LSAC CAS report that law schools you apply to receive. LSAC also reserves the right to notify state bar association licensing committees of dishonest cheating behavior. That means that even if you manage to get a LS to accept you with an 'I got caught cheating' misconduct on your LSAC record, you would have a big problem passing the C&F (character and fitness) screening required to be certified and issued a license to practice law once you have passed the bar exam.
