I'm going over the applications for the schools I'm thinking about applying, and I saw that all of them ask questions about whether I was placed on academic probation during school...my situation is a little weird...I was put on SCHOLARSHIP probation because my GPA dipped below a 2.5 during my sophomore year...I was on "scholarship probation" for a semester and then I got my grades back up to a 3.0 and everything was okay. I wasn't in danger of getting kicked out of school or anything, but I could have lost my scholarship if I hadn't gotten my grades up. Does scholarship probation and academic probation mean the same thing?

I would think they are two different things, but one way to know for sure would be to call the admissions office and double-check...anonymously, of course Smiley

I Agree

It definitely seems to me like they are two different things. I think Eliminator has a good point, and you should definitely call the admissions offices of the schools you're applying to and double-check. Don't know how anonymously you'll be able to do it, since I'm pretty sure all schools have caller ID Wink, but definitely call and check.

Do you have the exact verbiage of the apps you're looking at? If you do, post it up here and we'll dissect it with you.

Good luck!
